Partnering with Thandeka Vocational Education Trust (Pty) Ltd (TVET SA)
TVET SA is the preferred skills development provider of the South African Apparel Association (SAAA). Recognising the need for industry-specific skills development interventions, SAAA partnered with TVET SA, experts in the delivery of accredited learnerships and customised skills programmes for the clothing sector for more than 20 years.

1. Accredited learnership programmes at NQF Level 1 - 4 for employed workers and unemployed learners, from across the FP&M, W&R and SERVICES SETA’s.

2. Credit-bearing skills programmes designed to upskill production operators, technical skills upliftment for sewing machine mechanics, pattern makers, and team leaders/supervisors.

3. Industry aligned short courses customized to address the specific training needs of our partners. This includes World Class Manufacturing interventions for production operators and supervisors in the disciplines of Total Quality Management and Work Study.

4. Domestic sewing skills programmes for unemployed women and youth in rural and township areas to build the capacity of home-based entrepreneurs.

5. Value-add services including workplace skills planning and B-BBEE aligned learning interventions to boost B-BBEE skills development points.
